Shop Owner and Go-To Guy
Bruce developed a passion for taking apart and fixing things when he was about two years old, and he's been on that road ever since. He graduated from household items to outboards, lawn mowers and motorcycles while in grade school, and by the time he was in junior high, too young to drive, he started to re-build cars. He started Bruce Beard Automotive in Brookfield, MA in the early 1980s, and moved the business to Aquidneck Island in 1997. He has developed the business to be a single resource for all his customers' automotive, scooter and motorcycle repair and maintenance needs.

Diane Polley
Office Manager & Bookkeeper
Diane has been at Bruce Beard Automotive for almost four years, coming to us with 20 years experience in office management and bookkeeping. She is responsible for maintaining all shop inventories, payroll, accounts, and helps out at the front desk with customer service and telephone duty.
When not on the job, Diane loves reading a good mystery and chasing after her 13 grandchildren (with one more on the way!) |
