We commissioned our Sabre 386 in 2005. She is a unique boat, with a tall rig, deep draft keel and a sail drive. We set her up to maximize her sailing performance, while still taking advantage of her comfortable cruising accommodations and smart appearance. She’s been a terrific boat for us during the 11 years we have owned her.
In addition to cruising all over the northeast, we sailed her in three Newport-Bermuda races, each time in the double-handed division.
You can read a lot more about this boat on our old web site, http://www.esmeralde.net.
On October 5, 2016, she sailed out of our lives. I wrote a short, painful post here.
Here’s the photogallery we put together for the listing broker: Photo Gallery
And finally, a little video, also for the listing:
And (finally) finally, a video of one of our Newport-Bermuda Races:
What a great boat. We will miss her.
